Richard’s Backyard in Truchas

This was painted on my first outing of the spring during a group Plein air outing at a friend’s house in Truchas, New Mexico. Even though the spring air was crisp, the suns warmth welcomed all the painters to capture all the beauty that can be seen from Richard’s backyard. The Truchas Peaks are seen off in the distance with the rooftops of his neighbors are nestled amongst the juniper’s and piñon trees in the foreground.
